ADAD or a strafe duel is a movement-and-aim contest where two players repeatedly tap left and right movement keys while trying to stay accurate and harder to hit. In Counter-Strike 2, it commonly happens at close or medium range when both players peek, counter-strafe, and adjust their movement to create unpredictable timing before firing. The goal is to force the opponent to miss a shot, reveal a timing mistake, or lose balance while the shooter becomes accurate for a brief instant after stopping. Strafe duels matter because movement control, crosshair placement, and shot timing are all tested at once. For example, two players swinging around a corner may ADAD in place for a moment, each trying to bait the other into firing too early before landing a clean first bullet.
