Baiter:

A baiter is a player who deliberately draws enemy attention, fire, or utility so a teammate can gain a better position or secure the trade.

In Counter-Strike 2, baiting is usually judged by intent and timing. Good baiting is a team tactic: one player makes first contact, survives long enough to reveal the opponent, and lets the second player convert the advantage. Bad baiting is selfish play, such as staying too far behind a teammate to collect an easy kill after they die. The term matters because it affects trading, spacing, and trust within a team. For example, on a bombsite retake, one player swings first to force an AWPer to shoot, then a teammate peeks immediately after to punish the missed shot.

Is baiting always bad in Counter-Strike 2?
No. In team play, baiting can be a useful tactic when one player is intentionally used to draw attention or force utility for a teammate.
