Clear (Clearing):

Clear, or clearing, is the act of checking a space methodically so no enemy is left hiding there before crossing, planting, or holding an angle.

In Counter-Strike 2, clearing means aiming through likely hiding spots one by one, often by slicing the pie around a corner, using utility to force an opponent out, or pre-aiming common positions. It matters because un-cleared areas create easy ambushes, while disciplined clearing reduces the chance of being surprised and gives a team safer map control. For example, on Inferno, a player entering Bananas may clear car, sandbags, and logs in sequence before moving forward or committing to a site hit.
