Man advantage is the state of a round where one team has more living players than the other, such as a 5v4 or 3v2.
In Counter-Strike 2, a man advantage matters because it changes the round’s risk and timing: the leading team can trade kills more safely, hold stronger positions, and force the smaller team to make difficult retakes or saves. The team with fewer players often has to play slower, avoid unnecessary duels, and look for isolated fights to equalize the numbers. Man advantage can also disappear quickly if the advantaged team overpeeks or gets split up.
For example, after a CT side wins the opening duel on A site and the round becomes 5v4, the CTs can play tighter crossfires and let the attackers run into their utility instead of taking aggressive fights.
