A shoulder peek is a quick, partial peek from cover used to bait an enemy’s crosshair or shot without fully exposing the player’s body.
In Counter-Strike 2, it is used to gather information, force an opponent to fire, or make them reveal their position while reducing the risk of being hit. Because the peek is brief, the player can often return to cover before the defender gets a clean shot. It also helps create uncertainty, since repeated shoulder peeks can make an angle harder to hold and may provoke a premature flick or utility use.
For example, a Terrorist might briefly step out at Mirage’s A Ramp to make the CT on Ticket believe a full swing is coming, then immediately fall back before committing to the fight.
