Hyper Rolling: What does it mean to Hyper-Roll?

Hyper Rolling in Teamfight Tactics [1] means re-rolling multiple times, especially in early game phases, to get as many low-cost units as possible to three stars. This strategy is unique because alongside just changing the team composition, it changes the way players play the Teamfight Tactics.

Hyper Rolling is done early in the game to get an advantage over the opponent as quickly as possible. This aggressive strategy is risky. However, if the strategy works and pays off, players can secure an easy win before the match reaches its late stages.

If someone fails hyper rolling and doesn’t end the game in its early phases, they will be at a disadvantage. It’s worth noting that it’s almost impossible to transition to a different strategy, so if someone starts hyper rolling, they must commit to it till the end of the game.

What Galaxies allow hyper rolling?

Galaxies that provide healing or gold are more suitable for hyper rolling in Teamfight Tactics, whereas those that speed up the game are bad for that tactic. Here’s a list of some galaxies and whether or not they’re good for hyper rolling.

Neekoverse: It’s a good galaxy to hyper roll in because Neeko’s Help can prevent you from needing to re-roll after round 4-1

Medium Legends: The Medium Legends galaxy provides more health to players, so it’s a good place to hyper roll in since it’ll let you re-roll without the fear of losing the match.

Lilac Nebula: This Galaxy is not good to hyper roll in since selling 4-cost items early doesn’t provide enough gold, so the sacrifice is not worth it.

Star Cluster: Star Cluster is a great galaxy to roll in because if you get a unit you want, you’ll need to collect less of it to level up.
