Streaking: What is streaking in Teamfight Tactics?

Streaking is a term used in Teamfight Tactics ^[1], which means consistently winning or losing rounds in a row to earn more gold. In TFT, winning streaks and losing streaks reward players with bonus income, which is essential for winning since the currency is used to level up and buy various units. A winning streak means winning multiple rounds consecutively, whereas a losing streak means losing numerous rounds in a row. 

Since both of these streaks provide players with gold, they’re now used as a strategy to win games in TFT. Players on a winning streak usually try to play as well as they can to keep the streak going and earn money, whereas players on a losing streak intentionally start losing to get enough gold for a comeback.

How to get good at streaking in TFT?

There are multiple facts players should know regarding gold in TFT and how much a person gets through every action. The person on a winning streak gets an extra gold piece because of a mechanic that rewards players with gold before including passive income or streaking.

The gold a player gets without streaking isn’t added to the gold they get by winning, meaning they can miss out on potential extra gold by focusing on too much. 

Finally, the game has a mechanic that calculates interest: Players can get an extra piece of gold for every ten gold saved up, with a maximum of 5 additional gold for 50 or mold. The gold players get through streaking is omitted when the game calculates interest.

This means that while streaking is a good way to receive gold, players should also examine other aspects of mechanics and try to find another approach to winning rather than focusing on streaking.
