Synergy: What is Synergy in Teamfight Tactics?

In Teamfight Tactics ^[1], Synergy is the activation of specific bonuses or special effects that players can activate by getting multiple champions that share the same trait as each other. When someone gets a team composition with enough champions with the same traits, they get powerful synergy bonuses that can strengthen the entire team.

These bonuses can include buffs like increased damage, more health, or other unique abilities. One of the challenging parts about getting a synergy in TFT is the game’s random nature, where players must collect the right champions alongside adapting to the match to stay alive. Once someone gets synergy bonuses, they have an advantage over their opponents usually leading to victory.

What are some examples of Synergies in TFT?

There are too many synergies in TFT to list down all of them, but here are some popular ones. 

Altruist is a Synergy where they heal the ally with the lowest health for 15% of the damage they deal, alongside giving the team Armor and Magic resistance. This Synergy requires having Riven, Rakan, and Saraka on the same team. 

Another Synergy is Arcanist, where they gain Ability Power and give it to their allies as well. The champions needed for the Arcanist synergy are Lissandra, Neeko, Zoe, Syndra, Lux, Illaoi, and Ahri.

Behemoth is also a powerful and popular synergy where they get increased Armor and Magic Resistance, and if they die, the nearest Behemoth gets 50% more for 5 seconds. The champions required for the Behemoth Synergy are Udyr, Malphite, Thresh, Shen, Ornn, Yorick, and Cho'Gath.
