Blink (ability):

Blink is a movement ability that instantly relocates a hero a short distance to a targeted point, usually without following a path through the terrain. In Dota 2, it is used to start fights, escape danger, cross gaps, and position for spells or attacks with much greater precision than normal movement.

Its main value is mobility: Blink lets heroes ignore the time and risk involved in walking into position, which can decide whether a gank succeeds or a carry survives. It is especially important for initiators and escape heroes that need sudden, precise movement.

Example: Axe can Blink into the middle of an enemy group, then immediately use Berserker’s Call to force attention onto himself and begin a team fight.
