Peni Parker in Marvel Rivals ^[1] plays as a tactical vanguard, focusing on area denial, crowd control, and mobility support for herself and her team. Unlike pure damage dealers or straightforward tanks, Peni excels at setting up fights in advance by littering the battlefield with Cyber-Webs and explosive Arachno-Mines. Her kit thrives on smart positioning and predicting enemy movements, giving her the upper hand before the first shot is even fired.

Her Cyber-Webs are especially versatile, providing both mobility and survivability. Combined with Spider-Drones and Arachno-Mines, Peni becomes a nightmare for enemies trying to push into her territory. However, she can be vulnerable if caught without her traps in place, or if enemies find ways to avoid her setups.

Normal Attack

Peni’s basic attack, Cyber-Web Cluster, fires a projectile with a small blast radius. It doesn’t hit particularly hard compared to other damage heroes, but its strengths lie in its infinite ammo and zero damage fall-off. This makes it a dependable tool for constant harassment and securing kills at any range, especially on enemies trying to escape with low health.

Cyber-Web Snare

This ability fires a slow-moving projectile that immobilizes any enemy it hits or creates a Cyber-Web if it sticks to the environment. The web isn’t just for trapping foes. Standing on Cyber-Webs boosts Peni’s speed and heals her if she’s injured, or grants bonus health when she’s at full health. She can maintain up to three active Cyber-Webs at a time, allowing her to control key areas of the battlefield and keep herself sustained during prolonged engagements.

Bionic Spider-Nest

Peni deploys a Spider-Nest nearby, which spreads Cyber-Webs in its area and periodically spawns Spider-Drones. These drones automatically seek out enemies and explode on contact, dealing damage. While powerful for area control, the nest itself is destructible, so clever placement is key. Hiding it behind cover or in high-traffic chokepoints can make it a game-changing tool for defense or ambushes.

Arachno-Mines

With this ability, Peni fires a sticky mine that arms itself shortly after landing on a surface. Once primed, the mine explodes when an enemy gets too close, dealing significant damage. She can carry up to four charges at once, and if she deploys more than four mines on the map, the oldest one disappears. This allows her to set up elaborate traps across the map, zoning enemies away from objectives or protecting her own flanks.

Cyber-Bond

Cyber-Bond lets Peni shoot a strand of webbing to create a Cyber-Web and pull herself toward it, tethering her to that location. While tethered, if she strays too far, the bond will pull her back toward the web, acting as both a mobility tool and a safety line. She can detach manually at any time, giving her flexible movement options to dodge danger or quickly reposition to help her team. It also counters knockbacks and displacement effects, keeping her anchored during chaotic fights.

Wall Crawl

Peni’s passive ability enables her to climb walls, giving her creative escape routes and vantage points. This extra mobility layer is perfect for evading enemies who rely on ground-based movement or for setting up traps from unexpected angles.

Spider-Sweeper

Peni’s ultimate powers up SP//dr, massively boosting her health and movement speed. While active, she gains access to a powerful melee attack that knocks enemies into the air, leaves Cyber-Web trails in her wake, and deploys Spider-Drones around her. She can also rapidly place up to seven Arachno-Mines during this period, turning her into a one-woman army capable of overwhelming the enemy team in a short burst.

Team-Up Abilities

Armor Expulsion (with Venom): When teaming up with Venom, Peni gains a spike-covered symbiote armor that dramatically reduces incoming damage. Enemies who come too close are knocked back and damaged by the spikes, making her temporarily much harder to kill and punishing opponents who try to engage her at close range.
