Strategists: What are Strategists in Marvel Rivals?

Category

The Strategist role in Marvel Rivals ^[1] refers to those who choose the game’s support characters. This includes Rocket Racoon and Adam Warlock, both of who can heal their teammates’ health to ensure they keep going. Strategists may also have shielding abilities that negate or reduce the damage dealt to teammates.

However, the downside is that Strategists aren’t too tanky and they don’t usually have high damage-dealing capabilities. Take Luna Snow, for instance. While her ultimate can ensure her teammates are invulnerable for a short duration, she’s open to attacks as soon as it ends as it doesn’t deal any damage. A similar case is with Adam Warlock, who can revive his teammates with his ultimate, even if it doesn’t deal damage to the enemy.

Therefore, Strategists must work together with other teammates to ensure they can win games. Strategists rely on Vanguards to tank most of the damage and on Duelists to take down most of the enemy team.
