Spider-Man: Who is Spider-Man in Marvel Rivals?

Spider-Man is a duelist playable character in Marvel Rivals ^[1] who came out alongside the full release of the game. While other games have Spider-Man as a Sony exclusive, all platforms have Spider-Man available to play and he’s unlocked from the get-go.

Spider-Man’s abilities revolve around ensuring the player is as mobile as possible. The web-head swings around to deal damage and get out of tough situations quickly. He can also use his webs to stun or pull enemies, making him a force to be reckoned with.

Spider-Man’s abilities in Marvel Rivals

Spider-Man is a high-mobility, high-skill hero, excelling at quick engages, crowd control, and evasive combat. His Team-Up abilities with Venom and Squirrel Girl add unique combat strategies, making him a valuable asset in the right hands.

Normal Attack:

• Spider-Power (LMB/R2/RT) – Performs a series of melee strikes with his fists, dealing decent damage. Holding the button extends the combo.

Abilities:

• Web Cluster (RMB/L2/LT) – Fires a web projectile that deals damage and leaves a Spider-Tracer on the target.
• Get Over Here! (E/R1/RB) – Shoots a web tether at an opponent to pull them toward Spider-Man. If they are marked with a Spider-Tracer, Spider-Man instead launches himself at the target, delivering a powerful kick.
• Amazing Combo (F/Square/X) – Executes an uppercut that launches enemies into the air. Targets with a Spider-Tracer take additional damage. Spider-Man can hold two charges of this ability.
• Web-Swing (LSHIFT/L1/R1) – Shoots a web to swing across the battlefield, covering large distances. Spider-Man can store up to three Web-Swings.
• Twip And Flip (Double-Tap Space/X/A) – Performs a double jump while airborne for extra mobility.

Ultimate Ability:

• Spectacular Spin (Q/L3+R3) – Spider-Man rapidly spins, launching webs in all directions. This deals high damage and stuns enemies hit by the webs.

Passive Abilities:

• Spider-Sense – Alerts Spider-Man to nearby enemies, giving him an edge in avoiding ambushes.
• Wall Crawl – Allows Spider-Man to stick to and climb most surfaces. Pressing LMB/R2/RT while on a wall makes him run along it.

Team-Up Abilities:

• Suit Expulsion (with Venom) – After receiving Venom’s symbiote, Spider-Man can trigger an explosion from his suit, dealing damage and knocking back nearby enemies.
• Extra Web-Fluid (with Squirrel Girl) – Grants Squirrel Girl a Web Bomb that she can throw at an enemy or object to immobilize and damage them, useful for disrupting foes.
