What factors are taken into account when considering the best LoL team?
There are over 100 different LoL teams, all with unique players that have different kinds of skills, achievements, and histories throughout the inception of the game’s competitive scene. So in this list, we’ll look at those and what teams fit the criteria to be considered the best LoL team of all time.
What are the best LoL teams?
Here’s a small list unranked list of the best LoL teams:
Team Liquid
Getting the obvious one out of the way first, Team Liquid is the team you see participate in almost every competition, especially NA tournaments, which has led them to become one of the most successful teams in the game.
In addition, Team Liquid currently has a rock-solid team composition, thanks to new additions like Jeong "Impact" Eon-young, Eom "UmTi" Seong-hyeon, and Eain "APA" Stearns.
G2 Esports
G2’s had a great 2023, beating their rivals and winning multiple LEC splits, proving they’ve got what it takes to be relevant in the game. Even now, it seems they might make a consecutive Winter Split win soon, which will let them secure their 13th LEC victory.
Their roster consists of some of the best players in the game, like Rasmus "Caps" Borregaard Winther and Sergen “BrokeBlade” Celik, who are known for groundbreaking plays and keeping the audience and their opponents on the edge of their seats.
Fnatic
Fnatic is probably one of the most well-known organizations in the world and has always been seen in a similar light to companies like FaZe. Although they haven’t won a single LEC since 2018, they’re still considered a threat across the LoL community, and it’s always a joy to watch them play.
Their team is led by the iconic duo Marek "Humanoid" Brázda and Iván "Razork" Martín Díaz, who’ve always made entertaining plays throughout their professional careers.
Cloud9
Just like Fnatic, these guys are also one of the better-known teams in the community, with lots of achievements under their belt, like how they’re the only NA team to make it to the semi-finals at the world tournament.
They plan to boost their strength by adding Joseph Joon "Jojopyun" Pyun to the team, a strong mid-laner who’s made unbelievable plays throughout his career.
FlyQuest
FlyQuest is probably the best team in LoL right now, at least in the NA region. These guys have been able to beat many other well-known teams in the game, like Cloud9 and Team Liquid, and it looks like they aren’t stopping there, with plans to make it to the world to make themselves known.
To reach their goals, they’ve enlisted some of the most ferocious LoL players in their roster, such as Gabriël "Bwipo" Rau and Kacper "Inspired" SÅoma. We believe that in time, they’ll be known as legends in the League community for their outstanding strategic plays.
Gen.G
Next, we’ve got Gen.G who’s gotten a perfect 6-0 record so far in the LCK Spring Splits. Although they’ve lost a game, they blew past the competition with their hard work and synergies.
These victories don’t come by themselves. With a team like Gen.G’s that has Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon, probably the best mid-laner ever, and Kim "Peyz" Su-hwan, arguably the best bot lane ever, it’s no surprise that their squad is as powerful as it is.
