Marvel Rivals’ biggest appeal is the unique approach the game takes on familiar characters from the Marvel universe. From Iron Man to Squirrel Girl, seeing such cool versions of characters we already know about makes the entire process of playing Marvel Rivals all that more enjoyable.
With the insane hype Marvel Rivals is getting, it’s only natural that the developers will want to release more characters to capitalize on the hype. Today, we want to go through every leaked Marvel Rivals character while also going through everything we know about their abilities and difficulty.
Ultron is one of the characters we know the most about. All of his abilities have been leaked, and official art has also been disclosed. He appears to be rated 3/5 in difficulty. His abilities have been revealed as mentioned below:
Encephalo-Ray: This is his default weapon; it will unleash a blazing energy beam.
Imperative (Patch): Instruct a giant drone to follow an ally, continuously healing all allies within its radius, with extra healing for the targeted ally.
Imperative (Firewall): Summon drones to provide bonus health to allies within range, centered on himself and the ally marked with Imperative (Patch).
Rage of Ultron: His ultimate will summon Ultron drones to unleash Encephalo-Rays, which will damage enemies or heal allies.
Dynamic Flight: This will allow Ultron to fly swiftly in the direction of action and enter a free-flight mode.
Algorithm Correction: Hold the jump button to fall gently.
Mr. Fantastic - Duelist
We have official models of Mr. Fantastic in the game now. He seems to be a versatile Duelist, designed for players who want to absorb damage while taking down numerous opponents. His abilities have been revealed as listed below:
Elastic punch: His default allows him to stretch out a punch to attack enemies.
Reflexic Rubber: He can stretch his body to absorb damage, and then release the accumulated damage in the targeted direction.
Flexible Elongation: He can choose a target and dash towards it, inflicting damage to enemies and providing bonus health to allies.
Rubber Grip: He’s able to extend his arms forward to entangle hit enemies, then press the left mouse button to target and pull in two additional enemies.
Braniac Bounce: His ultimate allows him to leap and smash, knocking back enemies within range. Each time an enemy is hit, he can leap again up to six times.
Elastic Strength: Skills generate Elasticity, increasing attack power. Once Elasticity is fully charged, it triggers an Inflated state that restores health and further amplifies damage.
Human Torch - Duelist
Human Torch is rated 3/5 in difficulty, another Duelist from the Fantastic 4. His in-game model has already been leaked, and we also have access to his ability list. He has numerous movement options and high damage potential, allowing him to function as a trapper, blocking areas with hazardous fires. His abilities are listed below:
Fire Cluster: His default attack launches a splittable fireball.
Plasma Body: By holding the left shift, he enters a state of enhanced ascent.
Pyro-Prison: He can link flame fields to create a fire wall that inflicts burning damage on enemies.
Flaming Meteor: He can plunge towards the ground, stunning nearby enemies.
Blazing Blast: He can launch a fireball to produce a flame field at the targeted area.
Supernova: Release shockwaves to damage enemies within range. While the skill is active, the flame field will transform into a fire tornado.
In addition, Human Torch will also be bringing a brand new team-up move with Storm, Omega Fire to the table. She can absorb one of Human Torch’s tornadoes into her ultimate, transforming her hurricane into a fiery vortex. This will cause any fire tornadoes in its path to grow larger and become more intense.
Invisible Woman
Invisible Woman is yet another hero from the Fantastic 4. Although her details haven’t been leaked yet, it’s safe to assume that she will be following the rest of her team and joining the in-game roster.
The Thing - Vanguard
Another member of the Fantastic 4, The Thing, has been found in the game’s files. Although, aside from his role as Vanguard, we don’t know much else about this hero. However, we can speculate that his kit will deal with absorbing damage and making use of rocks in either offense or defense.
Blade
Blade’s character icon and in-game model have been leaked; however, no other information has been revealed.
More leaked Marvel Rivals characters
Aside from the mentioned characters, a handful of other playable characters were found in the Marvel Rivals game files. However, not much has been revealed about their abilities and models so far, suggesting they may come to the game in a later update or have been scrapped entirely.
The list of other Marvel Rivals characters who may join the playable roster includes:
Modok
Phoenix/Jean Grey
Angela
Hit-Monkey
Angela
The Hood
Deadpool
Captain Marvel
Emma Frost
Out of these characters, Deadpool is the most likely to join the Marvel Rivals [1] roster as a playable character. Not only is Deadpool a fan-favorite, but he’s also relevant thanks to the Deadpool and Wolverine movie that came out not too long ago.
FAQs
How many characters does Marvel Rivals have?
At the time of writing, Marvel Rivals has a total of thirty-three playable characters. However, this number will likely increase as new characters join the fray. While it’s unknown which character will join the Marvel Rivals roster first, it’ll likely be Ultron.
As for when these characters may join the game, Season 1 is slated to start on January 10, at least according to the Battle Zone. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean the time won’t get extended and the game won’t stay without a Battle Pass for a while. The best way to go is to wait for Marvel Rivals to make an official announcement.
