Team Falcons end Vitality’s 16-map Inferno streak

Team Vitality is easily considered one of the strongest Counter-Strike 2 ^[1] teams and a favorite to win BLAST Rivals Spring. However, while the team has continued to dominate the opposition in multiple maps, Inferno has continued to be its favorite, with the team not having lost in a total of fourteen games.

Well, it seems like Vitality’s streak of not losing on the Inferno map has been broken by Team Falcons. Ironically, this happened during the BLAST Rivals Spring grand final, cementing Falcons as a real threat to every top team in the scene.

Here’s how Team Falcons ended Vitality’s 16-map Inferno streak in Counter-Strike 2.

What was Team Vitality’s 16-map streak?

Team Vitality recently achieved a remarkable 16-map winning streak on Inferno, one of the most iconic maps in Counter-Strike. This streak began in November 2024 and extended through several major tournaments, including IEM Melbourne and BLAST Open Spring 2025. Their dominance on Inferno was evident with commanding victories over top teams like MOUZ, Falcons, and Virtus.pro, often securing wins with significant margins such as 13-0 and 13-2.

Something to keep in mind is that it isn’t as though Vitality barely scraped by with this win streak, either. On the contrary, since the gaps were so big every time Vitality played on the map, the match against 3dMAX was the first and only team to even reach double digits until the match against Falcons.

The streak was a testament to Vitality's strategic prowess and team synergy, particularly following the addition of Robin "ropz" Kool to the roster. His integration into the team bolstered their performance, contributing to their success across multiple events. However, this impressive run came to an end during the BLAST Rivals Spring grand final, where Vitality's Inferno streak was finally broken against Team Falcons.
