Captain America: Who is Captain America in Marvel Rivals?

Captain America is a vanguard character in Marvel Rivals ^[1] who specializes in using his shield to damage enemies and block or reflect enemy attacks. Being part of the main playable roster upon the game’s launch, he’s also one of the founding members of the Avengers and is also considered to be one of the most heroic and patriotic Marvel heroes ever.

All Captain America abilities in Marvel Rivals

While some characters like Hulk may have rather confusing abilities, Captain America’s abilities are fairly straightforward and extremely easily to remember.

Normal Attack

• Sentinel Strike – Strikes enemies with a melee attack. Every second hit triggers a shield throw that ricochets between up to four targets.

Abilities

• Freedom Charge – Leads the way forward, granting himself and allies increased movement speed and healing. While active, Living Legend and Leading Dash are empowered, allowing them to launch enemies when his ultimate is in effect.
• Leading Dash – Increases movement speed and performs a leaping attack.
• Vibranium Energy Saw – Hurls his shield at enemies, bouncing between targets and dealing solid damage.
• Liberty Dash – Lifts his shield and charges directly into an enemy.
• Super-Soldier Slam – Leaps from an elevated position and slams into enemies, knocking them into the air.
• Living Legend – Raises his shield to block and deflect incoming projectiles, sending them back in random directions.

Team-Up Abilities

• Charged Aegis – Gains an electrified enhancement when teamed up with Thor, allowing his shield to shock enemies upon impact.
