Iron Man: Who is Iron Man in Marvel Rivals?

Iron Man is a duelist hero in Marvel Rivals ^[1]. He released alongside the game and was also available in the closed beta for Marvel Rivals. This version of Iron Man is Tony Stark, the most popular version of the hero.

Utilizing his high intellect and the nanotech suit he built himself, Iron Man is one of the leaders of the Avengers. In the game’s lore, he initially made his suit when he was wounded by a weapon of his own design, though it’s unknown what that weapon was. This aligns with his most common depictions.

Iron Man’s abilities in Marvel Rivals

Iron Man ^[2] is a mobile and versatile hero who primarily utilizes ranged attacks that deal massive damage. Below are all of his abilities:

Normal Attack:

• Repulsor Blast: Fires energy projectiles from his palms, dealing consistent damage to enemies.

Abilities:

• Unibeam: Emits a powerful beam from his chest, inflicting significant damage to targets in its path.
• Flight: Enables Iron Man to soar through the battlefield, providing enhanced mobility and strategic positioning.
• Energy Shield: Deploys a protective barrier that absorbs incoming damage, enhancing his survivability during engagements.
• Missile Barrage: Launches a salvo of homing missiles, dealing area-of-effect damage to multiple enemies.

Ultimate Ability:

• Invincible Pulse Cannon: Unleashes a devastating energy blast, dealing massive area-of-effect damage to enemies within its radius.

Transformation:

• Armor Overdrive: Enhances the damage output of Iron Man's Repulsor Blast and Unibeam attacks. During this state, he gains access to Micro-Missile Barrage, launching a missile bombardment that deals area-of-effect damage.

Iron Man team-ups in Marvel Rivals

Iron Man has one team-up ability that activates alongside Hulk. The team up is called Gamma Charge. Hulk’s presence augments Iron Man’s Armor Overdrive using his gamma radiation to make his abilities more powerful.
