Loki: Who is Loki in Marvel Rivals?

Loki is a Strategist hero in Marvel Rivals and the 7th hero introduced to the game. Known as the God of Mischief, Loki Laufeyson^[1] is a master of deception, illusions, and sorcery. With his trickster abilities, he can manipulate the battlefield by confusing enemies and supporting allies with his magic.

In Marvel Rivals, Loki excels in misdirection and survivability. His illusions create additional threats for opponents, while his healing abilities and mobility make him a challenging target to pin down. His unique shapeshifting ability lets him copy enemies, further enhancing his deceptive playstyle.

Loki’s Abilities in Marvel Rivals

Loki’s kit revolves around illusions, healing, and battlefield control. Here’s a breakdown of his abilities:

Primary Attack

• Mystical Missile: Fires an energy projectile that damages enemies and heals allies. The impact creates a small spell field, allowing simultaneous healing and damage.

Secondary Attack

• Deception: Creates an illusion at Loki’s location while granting him invisibility. While invisible, Loki passively heals over time. He remains cloaked until he attacks.

Abilities

• Doppelganger: Projects an illusion of himself in a targeted area. The illusion mimics Loki’s primary attack and lasts up to 60 seconds.
• Devious Exchange: Swaps places with one of his illusions, allowing for quick repositioning and escape.
• Regeneration Domain: Summons a rune that creates a healing field around Loki and his illusions, converting 30% of incoming damage into healing for allies.
• Backstab: Loki’s first attack from behind an enemy deals bonus damage, rewarding careful positioning and stealth tactics.

Ultimate Ability

• God of Mischief: Transforms into any hero in the match for 15 seconds, gaining access to all of their abilities, excluding their Team-up^[2] abilities. Additionally, casting a transformation-type Ultimate ability will extend the duration of Devious Exchange until the transformation ability ends, allowing Loki to reposition strategically throughout the fight. 

Loki Team-Ups in Marvel Rivals

• Laufeyson Reborn (with Thor and Hela): When Hela lands a final blow on an enemy, she can instantly resurrect Loki and Thor if they are in the respawn phase. If they are still alive, they receive 50 bonus health. This ability has a 1.5-second delay before activation.

Loki’s mastery of deception, healing, and shapeshifting makes him a powerful and unpredictable Strategist in Marvel Rivals.
