Marvel Rivals came to the scene and already surpassed the long-time hero shooter veteran Overwatch 2 in playable heroes. However, with a large number of playable characters in a competitive game, it’s crucial for the developers to ensure that every character is balanced.
For this, NetEase Games constantly releases updates that buff, nerf, or rework certain heroes and their abilities. Season 4 is slated to be no different, since a handful of heroes will be seeing changes in this season to ensure that players have a fair experience, especially in the competitive mode.
Without any further delays, here are all of the Marvel Rivals Season 4 hero buffs and nerfs.
Vanguard Updates
Captain America: His Team-Up Anchor no longer provides a 5% damage boost, lowering his overall synergy power.
Doctor Strange: Maelstrom of Madness’ cooldown has been reduced to 6 seconds, making it more accessible. However, his base health has been cut from 600 to 575, balancing his improved ability uptime.
Emma Frost: Diamond Form’s cooldown rises from 15 to 18 seconds, while Telepathic Pulse now generates less energy when targeting shields, dropping from 10/s to 5/s.
Peni Parker: Spider-Drone attacks now apply a stacking slow effect of up to 40%. During her Ultimate, drones release faster, going from 0.7 seconds per shot to 0.5.
Thor: Gains faster movement during his Ultimate, increasing from 600 to 700 speed, and now stuns nearby enemies for one second upon landing.
Duelist Updates
Black Panther: Spirit Rend provides less bonus health on Vibranium Mark strikes (down to 25 from 30), and his base health has been reduced to 275.
Blade: Ancestral Sword now deals slightly more damage per slash, up from 22 to 24.
Magik: Big adjustments here. Her Team-Up Anchor bonus has been removed, while Magik Slash now charges faster and pierces enemies, reducing Stepping Discs cooldown by 1 second per target. Multiple abilities have received buffs, including Soulsword, Eldritch Whirl, Demon’s Rage, and her basic melee attack. Her Ultimate, Darkchild, also boosts Eldritch Whirl and Umbral Incursion damage.
Moon Knight: Moon Blade now stores up to two charges, each taking six seconds to recharge.
Psylocke: Wing Shurikens’ retrieve damage has been lowered from 12 to 8 per hit.
Scarlet Witch: Gains huge changes. She can now be healed while using Mystic Projection. Reality Erasure’s damage skyrockets to 9999, and it now pulls enemies within 15m during the cast.
Squirrel Girl: Burst Acorn damage is slightly reduced, but Squirrel Blockade hits harder at 50 per strike. Mammal Bond’s cooldown has been increased from 10 to 15 seconds.
Winter Soldier: Trooper’s Fist now prevents enemies from using mobility abilities for one second after the second strike, giving Bucky more control in close combat.

Strategist Updates
Invisible Woman: Guardian Shield’s slow is stronger at 35%. Her Ultimate, Invisible Boundary, heals more per second and now slows enemies by 20% while active.
Jeff the Land Shark: Jeff’s Ultimate now creates a healing pool at activation, restoring 100 health per second for 8 seconds to allies in range.
Loki: Illusions now deal and heal less, reduced to 80% efficiency. His Ultimate shapeshift duration has been cut from 15 to 12 seconds, with reduced residual periods when copying active duration abilities.
Luna Snow: Her Ultimate, Fate of Both Worlds, now lasts 10 seconds instead of 12.
Mantis: Nature’s Favor’s movement boost now decays gradually over two seconds when hit instead of disappearing instantly.
Ultron: His Ultimate now deals 125% extra damage to Bonus Health, making him more effective against tanky opponents.
