When confirming your Dota 2 boosting order, there are many options you can select. One option is changing the boost type, with the options being MMR boost, Calibration games, and Low Priority. But what exactly is a Low Priority boost, and how does it work?
Well, for that, you first need to know what Low priority in Dota 2 is and how you can find yourself in that dreaded queue state. After learning all about low priority, you'll easily be able to connect the dots as to how its boosting works.
What is low priority in Dota 2?
The term priority in online games refers to how quickly you get matched up in a game, with high priority meaning it'll be quick and the opposite being true for low priority. For example, Dota 2 specifically is a game that has little patience for players who quit in between matches, get reported by multiple players, or are detected to have a pattern of bad behavior, such as feeding or going AFK. If any of this applies to an account or player, chances are they'll be added in low priority.
As for what happens when you're in low priority, for starters, it takes longer than usual to find a match, and even then, you can only queue for the unranked silver draft, meaning there's no chance of you getting any MMR. This isn't all, though, as you can only play matches against other players in the low-priority queue, meaning it'll take lord knows how long to find a match finally.
When you finally find a match, you won't be able to keep any item drops or receive trophies. So you might be thinking you'll just queue in with friends at your party to get around this. Well, if you're in low priority, then every other player in your party will be struck with low priority as well, with it being lifted as soon as either they leave the party or you do.
There's more. If you abandon a match when you're already in low priority, the first time, you'll get a 20-minute ban, and the second time it'll be extended to 24 hours.
Now, you might be wondering how to get out of low priority. Well, it gets lifted after a set number of matches. That isn't the annoying part, though. The annoying part is that you have to win the match for it to count. This means that if you're in low priority for three matches, you'll have to win three matches to get out of it. Fortunately, losing matches doesn't extend or reset the count.
Why wait for your stress level to hit the roof when Eloking is available all day, every day, to help you?
How does low priority boost work?
Now that you know what low priority is in Dota 2 let's move on to how low priority boosting works. Because playing a match with low priority can be infuriating, both because of the long match-finding time and the fact that you might be playing with trollers and feeders who were added in low priority because of their not-so-game-friendly habits, there comes the option of paying a booster to complete the required matches for you.
Of course, this comes with the option of either having the booster win the matches by logging into your account using your given credentials or queueing up with you and winning matches alongside you using the play with booster option that Eloking provides.
The second option is recommended in most cases due to the fact that it reduces the risk of Valve detecting that you're being boosted. It'll be as if you just so happen to have an extremely skilled friend. Fortunately, since most, if not all, boosting sites have highly skilled players, chances are they'll have won all the required matches before you know it. Speaking of risk, be sure to check our guide on whether or not Dota 2 boosting is safe just to be on the safe side!
As for how long it takes to complete the order, Eloking has the boosters contact the customers within 10 minutes of confirming the order so they can keep in contact throughout the course of completing it. Of course, it mostly depends on how many matches you need to get out of low priority, but it shouldn't take too long as most sites give a guarantee of completing the order in under 48 hours.
