The professional League of Legends scene has been riddled with individual streamers and professional players duking it out. Now, things have come to a head with another two streamers and prominent figures in the LoL industry duking it out over a feud that seemingly came out of nowhere.
Though, we aren’t focusing on Rekkles and Thorin today. Instead, we want to highlight something positive, which is Caedrel’s confidence in the up-and-coming professional team Los Ratones. According to him, the team can take down lower-tier LEC teams easily, showcasing his confidence in the team.
Here’s what Caedral had to say about Los Ratones.
Who is Caedral and what is Los Ratones?
Marc "Caedrel" Lamont is a prominent figure in the League of Legends community and founded the professional team Los Ratones [1] in November 2024. He has over a decade of experience as a player, coach, caster, and content creator, and he made a roster that combines competitive skill and entertainment.
The team has professionals like Nemesis, Crownie, and Rekkles alongside streamers like Thebaus and Velja. Caedrel emphasizes that Los Ratones was made to be competitive and engaging for fans by avoiding the extremes of having full ex-pros or content creators.
New approach and early success
Las Ratones broke the traditions of other teams by publicly streaming their scrims, feedback sessions, and reviews to reshape the esports industry. Their transparent approach has influenced teams like FlyQuest to use similar strategies.
Las Ratones have dominated the tier-2 European scene since their debut, winning the NNO Cup and having a 100% win rate in the NLC 2025 Winter Season. They were able to defeat T1, a five-time World champion, in a Red Bull show match, solidifying their reputation as a rising team. Their scrim against ULF Esports got over 287,000 views in a single day, showcasing the success of their content-driven model.

Caedrel’s confidence in Los Ratones
Caesrel believes Los Ratones can compete with lower-tier LEC teams, stating they can defeat teams like Heretics, SK, and Rogue in a best-of-five series. However, he acknowledges that stronger LEC teams like Vitality and BDS will be challenging.
He also talked about the growing strength of ERL teams like Gallons, Icl Japon Corp, Solary, Vitality.Bee, and Karmine Corp Blue as potential disruptors in the LEC. Caedrel is trying to arrange matches against LEC teams to prove his point, causing excitement among fans.
Los Ratones aim to reach the height of European competition, with Caedrel confident in their ability to get to Tier 1 play. During a recent stream, Caedrel states the following:
“In my humble honest opinion, we would probably beat the bottom three teams in the LEC in a best-of-five. And if anyone takes offense to that statement, I'm happy to set that up and make it happen if their season is over, cause why not”, “I feel like, from watching the teams, unbiased, that we could beat those teams."
