Going into the Masters Bangkok 2025 upper bracket final, most thought that EDG would easily go through G2 to land a spot in the grand final. However, no one could have expected what actually happened.

G2 Esports and EDG started the Masters Bangkok 2025 upper bracket final with the first map of Lotus by a long margin. With leaf’s excellent shots and trent being the surprise hero no one expected, G2 demolished EDG with a final score of 13-8.

That led the two teams to the second map, which was Split. Seeing as how G2 has a history of performing subpar in the map, many thought G2 wouldn’t be able to deliver, but deliver the team did. From the very start, G2 Esports shut down EDG round after round. While EDG put up a good fight, G2 ended up winning the game with a decisive score of 13-7, securing G2’s spot in the grand final.

What other team will join the Masters Bangkok 2025 final?

EDward Gaming’s loss at the hands of G2 Esports during the upper bracket final sends EDG to the lower bracket final. Naturally, this doesn’t mean EDG has been knocked out of the tournament, as the team will get another shot at taking down G2 in the grand final, but the team’s path won’t be easy.
