How to Hide Act Rank in Valorant

How to Hide Act Rank in Valorant

In Valorant, your Act Rank represents your skill level and performance in ranked matches for the previous act. While it can be a source of pride and recognition, some players may prefer to keep their Act Rank private for various reasons. Naturally, the reasoning for wanting to hide your act rank can differ, but the fact of the matter is that hiding your act rank in Valorant is as straight forward as can be.

To hide your act rank in Valorant, all you have to do is open Valorant and go to the main menu, click on your player card on the top right corner of the screen, go to 'career', look for 'ranked', and toggle 'show previous act rank on my player card' off. By doing this, other players will no longer be able to see your act rank on your profile.

We'll be going through everything you need to know about hiding your act rank in Valorant, including what act rank even is, as well as the steps you need to follow to hide it.

What is Act Rank

Before anything, what even is act rank in Valorant? Well, In Valorant, Act Rank is a representation of a player's skill and performance in ranked matches. Each Act, which typically lasts for around two months, offers players the opportunity to compete and climb the ranked ladder. As players participate in ranked matches, they earn RR based on their performance, such as wins, losses, and individual statistics.

At the end of each Act, players receive an Act Rank that reflects their overall standing in the ranked system. This rank is a visible indicator of their skill level and serves as a measure of their progress and achievements during that specific Act. Act Ranks range from Iron (the lowest) to Radiant (the highest), with multiple tiers in between such as Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond.

The Act Rank is prominently displayed on the player's profile and can be seen by other players in various places, including the player card, in-game scoreboard, and match lobby. It acts as a badge of honor, showcasing a player's dedication, skill, and improvement over time. Additionally, players of similar Act Ranks are matched together, ensuring competitive and balanced gameplay experiences.

It's worth noting that Act Ranks reset at the beginning of each new Act, allowing players to start fresh and work their way up the ranks again. This provides an opportunity for players to set new goals, strive for higher ranks, and continue their journey of improvement.

How Do You Hide Your Act Rank

Luckily, as we mentioned above, hiding your act rank in Valorant is very straightforward and doesn't take long at all. All you have to do to hide your act rank in Valorant is:

  1. Open Valorant and navigate to the main menu.
  2. Click on your player card in the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Go to the "Career" tab.
  4. Look for the "Act Rank" section and toggle off the "Show previous act rank on my player card" option.

By following these steps, no one will be able to see your act rank by going to your profile. Naturally, if you want to make it so your rank does show up on your profile, you simply need to follow these steps again but this time toggle on 'display act rank'.

Alternatively, Valorant also offers a diverse range of player cards that you can choose from to display on your profile. One trick many players use when they don't want to hide their act rank completely is they equip a player card that diverts the attention of other players away from the act rank. All you have to do is choose a card with a design or theme that appeals to you, allowing you to express your style while keeping your Act Rank concealed.

Of course, before you start worrying about your rank, the first thing to do is to unlock competitive mode in Valorant. To do so, you first have to reach account level 20, which can take a while for some people. Fortunately, we can tell you the fastest way to reach account level 20 in Valorant.
