However, since Arena Mode is a temporary mode, some fans wonder when it might come again.

League of Legends Arena Mode Release Date

As many of you might have guessed, League of Legends Arena Mode will be returning on May 1, 2024. This means that the mode will come alongside the 14.9 patch update that has been looming for some time now.

Although we won't dive deep into the changes you can expect to see when the game mode comes back since we've already covered them extensively in a different article, a quick rundown of the change made to the mode in this patch is given below:

• UI changes: Tab scoreboard, better ways of scouting the lobby and opponents
• Pacing changes: Gold rewarded for wins and kills, starting health, health gained adjustments
• New item tier Prismatic items

• New map Koi Pond, and refreshed original map to accommodate more teams with Empyrean theme
• Ranked and matchmaking updates
• Enabled cameos: Lux, Sett, Thresh, Pyke, and Jhin

Arena Mode is one that continues to change and evolve, and while we're sure that some of these changes might not settle well with fans, we have no doubt that Riot will eventually find the winning formula to perfect the game mode and hopefully make it permanent.

When will Arena Mode go away?

There's no official word for when the League of Legends Arena Mode will go away when it comes to the game on May 1. However, those who have been playing the game consistently will know about Split 1’s four-month duration. When taking it into account, Arena Mode will likely stay in League of Legends until at least the end of June and maybe the first week of August.
