First Stand 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting League of Legends [1] tournaments, despite this being its first year. Having five of the best teams from all over the world, the round robin stage has just concluded amd ot was slated to eliminate one team from the overall tournament.
Well, the final match just concluded, and we finally know which team has been disqualified from the tournament and which four teams make it to the Knockout Stage. Those who missed the round robin stage also missed some of the most exciting games from this year so far, though we’re here to tell you everything about them.
After having one of the strongest first days in the tournament against Karmine Corp, Team Liquid continued to go on a disappointing losing streak. The team didn’t manage to even nab one round against TES or CFO, while Karmine Corp saw a surprising win against TES, cementing its place in the knockout stage.
Everything boiled down to the last day of the round robin stage when TES and Team Liquid were the only ones in the hot seat. Liquid’s match was against Hanwha Life Esports, one of the strongest teams in the tournament. HLE, in typical HLE fashion, went for unconventional picks to see what the team could get away with.
Although HLE won the first round, Liquid managed to get the second game, exciting Liquid’s fans worldwide. If the team had won the second game, TES would have been eliminated instead of them. Unfortunately, HLE decided to lock in and take down Team Liquid in the third game, knocking the team out of the tournament.

When is the League of Legends First Stand knockout stage?
With the round robin stage out of the way, the remaining four teams will be participating in the knockout stage tomorrow and the day after, which is March 15 and 16. These two days will decide which team wins the tournament.
The first day will see the following matchups:
Hanwha Life Esports vs Top Esports
CTBC Flying Oyster vs Karmine Corp
Losing a single game will knock the losing team out of the tournament, though it’ll be a best of 5, so all four teams will have more than enough chances to give it their all.
As for the winnings, below is what all five teams will get depending on their placement in the tournament:
First place: $300,000
Second place: $225,000
Third and fourth place: $172,500
Fifth place (Team Liquid): $130,000
