While skins don't really affect gameplay in the traditional sense, neither in LoL nor in CSGO, that doesn't mean there aren't skins that are better than others. Case in point, some ultimate skins are sure to strike fear into the hearts of enemies, especially when using them in ranked. That's right, some skins are better suited for ranked.
Now, most of the skins we recommend you play in ranked are ultimate skins. Therefore, we'll be going through six of the ultimate skins we like best. The skins included in this list will be Pulsefire Ezreal, K/DA All Out Seraphine, Gun Goddess Miss Fortune, DJ Sona, and Spirit Guard Udyr. Of course, we can't forget Elementalist Lux either.
So if you're looking for some skins to use in ranked then look no further because we got you covered.
#6: Pulsefire Ezreal
What better skin to start with than the first ultimate skin in League of Legends? Pulsefire Ezreal is the first ultimate skin in League of Legends, and the coolest thing about it is that it transforms Ezreal into a time-traveling, futuristic adventurer. The skin has multiple evolving forms, each representing a different era of time.
Basically, as the game progresses, Pulsefire Ezreal's appearance and abilities evolve, gaining new animations, sounds, and particle effects. That isn't all though. His ultimate ability, Trueshot Barrage (R), also changes appearance with each evolution, becoming more advanced and impressive.
The skin offers a sleek and modern design with intricate details, giving it a high-tech feel. If you want to transform Ezreal into the super futuristic cool boy we all know he deserves to be then this is the skin you want to play in ranked.
#5: K/DA All Out Seraphine
Up next is the K/DA All Out Seraphine skin. Yes, yes, we know that players think Seraphine getting an ultimate skin before all the other champions that have been in the game longer than her is unfair, but hey, that's on Riot.
With that being said, one thing we can't deny is that the skin looks COOL. This skin takes on three forms, beginning with Indie, and moving on to Rising Star, and Superstar. Many players don't like that we have to complete missions to unlock the rest of the variants in addition to paying the price of a legendary skin.
However, you just need to take one look at the Superstar variant to know that it's more than worth it. Seraphine might be a rather controversial champion in League of Legends, but her superstar variant makes her a little more bearable.

#4: Gun Goddess Miss Fortune
Moving on, we have the Gun Goddess Miss Fortune skin. Gun Goddess Miss Fortune offers players the choice between four different "forms," each representing a different sci-fi universe: Zero Hour (cyberpunk), Ironsight (post-apocalyptic), Starstruck (space), and Prestige (futuristic).
Perhaps the best thing about this skin is that each form features unique animations, voice lines, and particle effects, adding a level of personalization to the skin. This level of personalization is exactly why this is one of the most popular skins in the game.
The ultimate ability, Bullet Time (R), changes appearance and effects based on the selected form, giving players a satisfying visual impact. This makes it so players actually have to think when deciding which form to go with.
#3: DJ Sona
DJ Sona is a revolutionary ultimate skin that transforms Sona into a futuristic DJ with three different forms: Kinetic (blue), Concussive (red), and Ethereal (green). That's right, every color represents one of her usual abilities, which is a pretty cool touch to the skin if we do say so ourselves.
Each form corresponds to a different type of music genre, and players can switch between them during the game, influencing the in-game music. What's more is that DJ Sona's abilities and auto attacks are synced with the music, creating a dynamic and immersive experience for both the player and their teammates.
The skin offers a visually stunning and audio-rich gameplay experience, making it a unique addition to the ultimate skin lineup. Use this skin in any ranked match and the players going up against you will think twice before attacking you even if you're playing as support.
#2: Spirit Guard Udyr
If you were lucky enough to buy the Spirit Guard Udyr before the infamous rework, then you might want to start giving investment classes to other people. Spirit Guard Udyr showcases Udyr as a guardian of the four primal spirits: Tiger, Turtle, Bear, and Phoenix. Each of Udyr's stances features unique animations and visual effects, allowing players to feel the power of each spirit.
The skin includes a new voiceover, with interactions between Udyr and the spirits, giving the champion more depth and personality. Hey, wouldn't you want to go to a ranked game as a champion you know the backstory of as opposed to a completely random champion?
#1: Elementalist Lux
Come on, Elementalist Lux just HAS to be the number one skin to use in ranked. Elementalist Lux allows players to harness the power of various elemental forms: Light, Fire, Nature, Ice, Water, Air, and Storm.
The unique thing about this skin is that each form comes with its own set of animations, particle effects, and sound cues, providing a diverse and engaging visual experience. You won't ever get bored when using this skin, that's for sure.
How this works is that players can choose the initial form at the beginning of the game and earn points to unlock and evolve through different elemental forms. As it is with some of the other skins on this list, the ultimate ability, Final Spark (R), also changes based on Lux's current elemental form, enhancing the thematic coherence of the skin.
