What’s special about the Sorceress class?

The Sorceress class focuses on Intelligence in Path of Exile 2, similar to the Witch. However, unlike the Witch, who is excellent at Chaos and Necromancy, the Sorceress class focuses on elemental magic. This class does everything a player can expect from mages in RPGs, like shooting fireballs, lightning, and more.

It's easier for players to level up a Sorceress, especially compared to other classes in the game. Sorceresses can deal good damage but can’t take too many hits. With the right build, gamers can increase their character’s resilience while letting them do lots of damage. 

Arc Sorceress Lightning Build

Here’s a Lightning build that gamers can utilize to defeat bosses and hordes of enemies. The build primarily uses ARC as its DPS tool, and although it’s weak during the early game, it gets powerful in later acts since players obtain better gear and passives. Here’s what the gamer’s skill bar should be like when leveling up.

The biggest problem a player can face in Path of Exile 2 is hordes, and the build combats the issue using Spark and Flame Wall with the Raging Spirit’s buff. If a gamer is stuck between many enemies simultaneously, they can use the Flame Wall skill while repeatedly activating Spark until they all die. Once the player gets Lightning Conduit and Cast on Shock, they can manage swarms easily.

After gamers get the Archmage buff, they’ll start dealing much more damage since it gives their spells extra Lightning damage based on their max mana. The downside is that it consumes more mana but the damage output is worth it. If the player doesn’t have Archmage, they should use Raging Spirits instead.

Sorceress Passives

Since the player is utilizing Lightning-based skills, they must focus on passive nodes that increase the strength of Lightning damage, Shock, and other related stats. If the player keeps dying too quickly, they can get passives that increase their durability like Energy Shields. Make sure to get these passive nodes while leveling up.

Gamers struggling to stay alive in Cruel difficulty and the early Atlas maps should try to get the Mind over Matter node. This passive converts the player’s mana into health, and since the player will be focusing on that gauge as a Sorceress, taking Mind of Matter will give them free health.

Gamers should focus on the modifiers above because Path of Exile 2 doesn’t have a lot of Support Gems that can buff Arc’s damage output. Players must get passive skills and gears with the correct stats to make up for it.

Try to save modifiers like Movement Speed and Critical Hits for the later acts of the game. Just remember that Arc is counted as Spells, not Attacks, so any item that increases the elemental damage of Attacks won’t work.
