Valorant’s [1] latest update, Patch 10.05, introduces the long-awaited Ranked Rollbacks feature, allowing players to reclaim lost Ranked Rating if they were affected by cheaters. This update aims to make competitive play fairer by refunding RR directly to impacted players, addressing a long-standing community concern.
Alongside Ranked Rollbacks, the patch includes important agent bug fixes, map adjustments, and console-specific changes to improve overall gameplay quality. While there are no major balance shifts, these refinements help smooth out competitive integrity, making this a crucial update for dedicated players.
Here’s what to know about Valorant patch 10.05 and what it’s adding to the game.
Ranked Rollbacks go live
Valorant's highly anticipated Ranked Rollbacks feature is live with patch 10.05. This update allows players to reclaim lost Ranked Rating (RR) if they’ve been affected by confirmed cheaters in their competitive matches. Players will get an in-game pop-up notification detailing the exact RR refund amount.
Players must complete one Ranked match to apply the refund to the account. The RR will be added to the player’s total after the game, regardless of whether they win or lose. However, Ranked Rollbacks are only valid within the current Act and have a cap, meaning players can’t hoard RR to climb ranks unfairly.
Agent bug fixes
Patch 10.05 brings numerous quality-of-life improvements for agents through bug fixes. Raze’s Blast Pack explosion size has been corrected, while Clove and Sage won’t experience a single frame of vulnerability upon reviving.
Tejo’s Armageddon ability now consistently displays danger indicators across variable elevations, and Iso’s Double Tap HUD appears correctly for spectators. Waylay sees fixes for performance hitches during Convergent Paths casting and an issue preventing players from equipping the ability during the buy phase.

Map adjustments
The update fixes bugs on multiple maps. On Breeze, abilities now properly respect line-of-sight around the crates on A Site, and flash abilities will no longer be blocked in certain areas. Sunset fixes include resolving an issue where players couldn’t plant the Spike on B Site crates within the plant zone. These changes aim to enhance gameplay consistency and fairness.
Console-specific changes
Remote Play on PS5 has been temporarily disabled to investigate an issue. A bug causing delays in reconnecting to comms after custom games has been fixed. Players must read future patch notes for updates on Remote Play’s return.
Meta impact
Although Valorant patch 10.05 doesn’t have major balancing adjustments, the bug fixes for agents like Raze, Clove, Sage, Tejo, Iso, and Waylay provide minor buffs that enhance their performance. The introduction of Ranked Rollbacks is the standout feature, addressing long-standing community concerns about unfair RR losses due to cheaters.
