Valorant may have various maps that players can play on, but some maps are definitely more loved than others. While something like Haven is a fan-favorite that players want in every competitive map rotation, Breeze is one of the most hated maps that people genuinely celebrate when it gets removed.
Today, we’re here to help Breeze haters start winning matches on the map. Every map has agents that perform exceptionally well thanks to their abilities and we’re here today to go through the top 5 agents you should play on this map. Naturally, we’ll also explain why they’re so good on this map.
So, if you want to start getting those victories and high frags on Breeze then keep reading because we have the recipe for you. If you want to learn any agent we mention on this list then you can always hire a professional coach from Eloking to show you the ropes. Just don’t forget to use the code “BoostToday” so you don’t miss out on the 20% discount.
Neon
The first agent on this list and the only Duelist has to be Neon. The biggest thing Breeze has going for it is that it’s too large for its good. Getting from one point to another takes too long because most players have to avoid the dangerous middle area where there’s no cover and the enemy can take them out instantly.
Well, that’s where Neon comes in. Neon’s ability to run fast can help players quickly get from one site to another, and that too from either spawn point. This applies even more if Neon has her ultimate charged as players can run until the speed meter runs out and then use her ultimate to recharge it and run even further.
While not as safe, Neon can also quickly get from one site to another from the middle area. This is largely thanks to her wall ability. Use Neon’s wall to ensure any enemy from either sniper’s nest isn’t able to get a clear shot and quickly run to the opposite point. If the wall goes down too quickly, there’s always Neon’s slide to come in clutch.
Brimstone
The second agent on this list of best agents to use in Breeze is Brimstone. When it comes to pure smoke abilities, most would agree that Brimstone is easily the best Controller. After all, not only does he have three smokes but they last the longest and block the most vision from the enemy. Thanks to this, it might be a good idea to use Brim’s smokes to block off the most dangerous points in mid to allow the team to quickly enter any site when the enemy isn’t expecting it.
Additionally, thanks to all of the open spaces in Breeze, Brimstone can take advantage of his Molly ability’s range to utilize some insane lineups. Brimstone mains will know that the agent is most known for his lineups and Breeze arguably has some of the most useful and consistent ones in the game.
Finally, Breeze has several areas that are difficult for defenders to clear without taking risks, like the B Backsite and A Nest. Fortunately, that’s where his Orbital Strike ultimate comes into play. Brimstone’s Orbital Strike can force enemies out of cover or stop them from defusing the spike, especially in post-plant situations. Thanks to this, not only is this ability a game-changer on attack, but it can also stop the enemy from planting in crucial spots when Brimstone is in defense.

Viper
Brimstone isn’t the only controller who’s surprisingly efficient in Breeze. Most players agree that Viper is a must-pick on this map for several reasons. Firstly, she can make walls like Neon does. However, Viper’s walls last longer and can allow her entire team to safely get past the mid sniper’s nest or enter sites while blocking the enemy’s vision.
Her Poison Cloud is a deployable smoke that can be placed on critical points, like entrances or plant spots. The smoke blocks vision while also applying decay damage to any enemy who walks in it. Thanks to this, not only can Viper’s Poison Cloud stop plants or defuses, but it can also block off certain lines of vision to make things easier for her team.
While not as effective as Brimstone, Viper’s Snake Bite molly can also be used to deny defusals from a safe distance. However, arguably the biggest reason Viper is so effective in Breeze is her ultimate. Because both sites on the map have various open areas, Viper’s ultimate ability can effectively block enemy agents from entering the smoke thanks to the lack of places to hide in. All Viper has to do is take advantage of the decay damage to quickly and efficiently take down enemies.
Chamber
Chamber is easily one of, if not the best agent to play in Breeze. Literally, all of his abilities are tailored to this specific map. First off is his Rendezvous teleportation ability. It allows him to take aggressive peeks or hold long angles without the risk of getting trapped. For example, he can post up in an aggressive position, take a shot, and then instantly teleport to safety. This makes him hard to pin down and increases his survivability across Breeze’s vast spaces.
Then there’s his Headhunter ability that gives him a sheriff with a scope. The ability is lethal at any range, which means Chamber can still be effective during eco rounds or save rounds. On Breeze, where long-range firefights are common, Headhunter allows him to contest these sightlines and remain dangerous even with minimal resources. Pair it with his aforementioned Rendezvous ability and Chamber can take risky plays without getting in too much danger.
Finally, there’s his ultimate ability Tour De Force. The ability gives him a high-powered sniper rifle, which allows him to excel in Breeze’s long-range duels and potentially secure multiple kills without needing to purchase a weapon. Thanks to this, it doesn’t matter if the team is in an eco round or not, as the Chamber will still have an excellent weapon to take out enemies from a distance.
Skye
While this list has already covered the other roles, the Initiator role is a little tricky. Because Breeze has various open areas, most Initiator’s abilities fall flat. For example, Breach may not find enough walls to flush enemies out and it’s easier to shoot Gekko’s flash. However, Skye is an agent who excels in information gathering and can quickly flash enemies when they least expect it.
Skye’s Guiding Light is particularly useful in Breeze’s environment, as it allows her to check vast areas safely. The flashbirds can curve around corners or into open spaces, forcing opponents out of hiding and providing valuable information on their positioning. Breeze is the one map where attackers and defenders are both forced to lurk, so this ability can help contest control of large areas like mid, where Skye can flush out lurking enemies or stall an aggressive push.
Skye’s Trailblazer ability can provide exceptional reconnaissance over Breeze's long corridors and high-risk areas. The Trailblazer can scout deep into enemy territory, identifying threats without putting her or her teammates in immediate danger. Whether it be the site or the various narrow corridors Breeze has, Skye’s four-legged friend can give valuable information with little to no risk.
On the topic of intel, the final ability we want to cover is Skye’s ultimate ability, Seekers. The Seekers can travel long distances and pursue opponents, making it difficult for enemies to stay hidden in Breeze’s many hiding spots and extensive open areas. As mentioned before, agents usually split up on this map, so having a general idea of where every enemy agent is can be a roundwinner.
FAQs
What are the best strategies to utilize on Breeze.
Effective strategies on Breeze often revolve around controlling mid, as it provides access to both spike sites and allows for faster rotations. Utilizing agents with strong area control and reconnaissance abilities, such as Viper or Skye, can help secure mid control and clear angles. Additionally, coordinating team pushes with smokes or flashes to block sightlines and prevent defenders from holding key positions is crucial.
Why do so many players hate Breeze?
Breeze may be a pretty map but it isn’t what one may call ideal. Most strategies and tactics players are accustomed to thanks to the other maps in Valorant aren’t applicable on Breeze thanks to its open spaces and fewer cover spots. Defending on this map can be extremely difficult and attackers definitely have a competitive advantage over defenders.
