A big part of the success of Marvel Rivals ^[1] has been the developer adding features that the player base can meme on and enjoy. A good example of this is the twerking Venom emote that went viral and caused a lot of players to log in to the game, just to claim the emote for free.

Now, the game is giving players the chance to acquire one more freebie, though this time it’s a spray. The Tic-Tac-Toe spray can also be acquired for free, and players can play with their friends in a fun little minigame by adding custom sprays in the available blocks to see who wins.

Here’s how you can get the free Marvel Rivals Tic-Tac-Toe spray and how to use it.

Marvel Rivals introduces the Tic-Tac-Toe spray

Getting the Marvel Rivals Tic-Tac-Toe is fairly straightforward, as players just have to log in to their accounts between June 5 and June 12. This will reward players with the spray, letting them add it to their active spray rotation and use it like any other spray in the game.

Players can use sprays and emotes in Marvel Rivals by using the T or left D-pad button to bring up the communication wheel and then choosing the emote or spray they want. Of course, they must also add the emote in their active emote wheel for the character they’re using.

It’s important to keep in mind that the spray doesn’t do anything special. While it’s larger than most other emotes, it only puts down an empty Tic-Tac-Toe template. After that, it’s up to the players to fill it with the sprays of their choosing. Winning a game of Tic-Tac-Toe by getting the same three sprays in a row doesn’t involve any special effect, though the spray’s reveal trailer did have a fun little showcase of Jeff eating the loser in his ult and throwing them out to flex his victory.
