How to whisper to a teammate in Marvel Rivals
Whispering involves sending private messages to your teammates. To send a whisper in Marvel Rivals [1], start by opening your Friends List and clicking on the icon present in the upper right corner of your screen. Doing so will list all your friends who are currently online or in-game. Next, find the name of the friend you want to message from the list.
Upon finding their username, right-click it to open a menu. You’ll see an option that says Send Whisper. Select this option to start a private chat window to type and message your friend directly. This makes the conversation private and unreadable for other players.
Can whispers and in-game chat be turned off in Marvel Rivals?
Marvel Rivals lets players turn off in-game chat with teammates. The feature is added to improve the experience for those who want to avoid negativity during gameplay. By navigating to the communication tab in the settings menu, team chat can be disabled while still receiving vital info like pings.
It's particularly useful for solo players in support roles who are often victims of negative comments in the chat. You can use it in casual modes like Quick Play, where you want a stress-free experience. The chat can be re-enabled for competitive matches if needed.
