Psyonix reveals information on Rocket League Season 18

Despite being fairly old at this point, Rocket League ^[1] is still going strong with consistent updates and new features that keep the game fresh and relevant. Although the playerbase isn’t as huge as it used to be, the game still has a dedicated playerbase and that’s more than enough for Psyonix to release new seasons.

In particular, Psyonix just released new information about Rocket League Season 18. This includes the overall theme of it and multiple additions players can expect from it. From the premium rewards to new mutators and even community celebrations to give back to the community and celebrate a good cause, Rocket League Season 18 is looking like it’ll be a blast.

Futura Garden arena and theme

Rocket League Season 18, Springs Forth Futura Garden, takes players to a futuristic utopia with the all-new Futura Garden arena. This arena features towering architecture and vistas, setting the stage for high-octane competition. The season will start on March 14 at 9 AM PT and end on June 18, offering players three months of a futuristic theme.

Rocket Pass Premium rewards

Season 18’s Rocket Pass Premium introduces numerous futuristic customization options. Players who purchase the pass will immediately unlock the Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack Car Body, which uses the Dominus hitbox. As players progress through tiers, they can unlock the Azura Car Body (Breakout hitbox) alongside other high-tech accessories like the Space Tower Antenna, Spaceship Topper, and Waypoint Trail. Other rewards include the animated Cosmological Decal, StarStud Boost, Plasma Ball Goal Explosion, and the Pigeon 3000 Topper.

New mutators for customs

Patch v2.49 introduces numerous mutators, allowing players to customize their gameplay experience in Exhibition Mode and Private Matches. Options include changing the number of soccer balls (up to six), altering ball gravity, and enabling points for demolitions, assists, and possession. Players can also experiment with unlimited jumps, enforce team territories, and change goal scores for aerial and normal shots.

Free rewards and community celebrations

Every player who logs in during Season 18 introduces voice reporting, allowing players to submit audio evidence when rules. This feature aims to combat bullying, harassment, and discrimination in voice chat.

Tournament rewards

Tournament participants can earn funky disco-themed rewards, including the Disco Ball Boost, Disco Floor Trail, and Disco Party Goal Explosion. Players can also grab the Knighted Topper.

When does Rocket League Season 18 start?

Rocket League Season 18 is slated to start on March 14 at 9 AM PT. This gives players only four days to prepare for the new season and wrap up their current pass if they haven’t already completed it.
