There might be various types of enemies in Dota 2, but few are as difficult to take down as Tormentors. While these neutral creeps are incapable of moving or attacking, it's difficult to defeat them. The two biggest reasons for this are their very quickly regenerating barriers and their extremely potent damage reflection.
There are various heroes that can easily solo tormentors in Dota 2. The three best ones, however, are Techies, Enchantress, and Sniper. However, selecting the right hero isn't the only thing you have to do. It's crucial that you have the correct strategies and builds as well, otherwise, you might fall to the neutral creep.
We'll be going through three heroes that can easily solo tormentors, as well as the strategy you should use for all of them.
#1: Techies
Techies might be a rather controversial hero in the Dota 2 community, but the fact of the matter is that he's more than useful if you know how to use him. If you want to find the easiest way to defeat tormentors in Dota 2, then all you have to do is use Techies. To be more specific, all you have to do is use only one of this hero's abilities.
We are, of course, talking about the Proximity Mines that he can plant anywhere on the map and have them blow up whenever he wishes. We're sure a bunch of you already know where this is going.
All you have to do is plant exactly seven Proximity Mines in the area Tormentors always spawn on the map. With the mines planted, all you have to do is walk far enough that the damage of the bombs doesn't affect you too. Like this, as soon as the Tormentor spawns, it'll instantly blow up.
#2: Enchantress
Up next on the list of heroes that can solo Tormentors is Enchantress. Now, some of you might be surprised to see this hero on this list seeing as how squishy she is, but with a little strategy, you can make it so she doesn't get damaged at all.
With that being said, it's more than possible to use her Impetus ability to take a Tormentor out with just three hits. The thing about this specific ability is that the further away the target is from Enchantress, the more damage it deals. Therefore, as long as you pair Enchantress with the right items and recall to base then fire at the neutral creep using Impetus, you should be able to solo a tormentor with no issue at all.
#3: Sniper
The next entry on this list might be a little bit of a stretch. Although Sniper can definitely solo a Tormentor in Dota 2, the thing is that you require him to reach level 25 first. This is because it's crucial to have his level 25 talent which gives him 100 attack range if you want to come out unscathed. However, with a level this high, you might argue that there's no use in soloing Tormentors.
Regardless, pair Sniper with some damage increasing items, and unlock his level 25 talent to increase his attack range. Then, simply get a tormentor in the very corner of your attack range, and start firing. Because of the distance, the damage reflection will not work and you'll be able to get away scott free.
Of course, if you're looking to level Sniper up quicker than he would have otherwise, it might be a good idea to learn how to creep stack the jungle in DOTA 2. Otherwise, you might have to wait a while before Sniper's able to take a Tormentor on alone.
