This delay allows the opponent to take multiple turns before the Paralyzed Pokémon can potentially act. Electric-type Pokémon like Pikachu can comfortably apply this status effect.
Sleep:
A sleeping Pokémon is unable to act for a certain number of turns. Once again, the impact of Sleep is closely tied to the Action Order, as the turns skipped often allow the opponent to gain a massive advantage.
