The Sterak's Gage is an item that provides great defensive value against enemy burst damage. For starters, it gives players that hold it 50 attack damage and 400 health, which is a more than decent stat increase. However, the passive is why we had to give it a spot on this list.
The passive ability of this item allows you to gain a shield and additional tenacity (which is a unique passive that grants you crowd control reduction) after taking a certain amount of damage within a short period of time. Because of this, using this item when you know one or more champions you're up against who specialize in dealing damage by dealing combos like Riven is highly recommended as you'll be able to make the most of this passive that way.
