So, without anymore delay, here is everything you need to know about the Dota 2 player Chuvash and why he’s so beloved in the community.
Background and Early Career
Evgenii “Chu” Makarov better known in the Dota 2 community as Chuvash, started his early Dota 2 career back in 2016. He began playing for Comanche [1]which kickstarted what would be a long journey in the competitive Dota 2 scene. He gained a lot of recognition for his skills and dedication and quickly became an exciting prospect in the competitive world.
Though starting off playing for Comanche, he switched and transitioned between some different teams throughout his career, something that helped him develop a very good skill set.
Right off the bat, people were quick to notice his talent. His ability to adapt to different roles and playstyles was exciting to watch and this versatility and dynamic nature played a huge role in helping his teams win. His dedication and hard work gradually attracted larger and more prestigious teams in the Dota 2 world. By the time he joined Effect in 2017, Chuvash had already cemented himself as a skilled player whose team could rely on him. He had great performances and started to gain a lot more attention during this time.
Associated Teams
Throughout his career, Chuvash has played for a lot of teams and they have all contributed to his growth both as a player and as a professional. He started with Comanche, he switched over to Effect in 2017. With them, he played an important part in their performances in various tournaments and gained tons of experience and recognition. Most notably, his ability to perform under pressure had him noticed as a rising star.
In 2018, Chuvash joined the ranks of one of the biggest organizations in the Dota 2 world, Na’Vi. With them, he had strong performances in some major tournaments, including the Megafon Winter Clash 2018 and the Dream League season 10 2018, where Na’Vi finished in second place both times. These were strong performances and Chuvash’s presence in Na’Vi added depth to their roster, providing them with strategic contributions.
After departing from Na’Vi on April 24, 2019, He continued his journey for FORZE Esports for 3 months and also spent a brief time with Team Unique. Later, he joined EXTREMUM for 7 months. In 2023 Chuvash transitioned to OG where he had solid contributions both as a player and a coach from March 6 2023 to June 10, 2023. These diverse experiences not only as a player but also as a coach shaped him into the versatile player he is today.
Role and Playstyle
Chuvash is known for his role as a support player in the game. He has great game sense, clever positioning, and a knack for making some very important calls during matches. He’s great at creating opportunities for his team and offers control and vision over the key areas on the map.
