What is new in the League of Legends Summer Event?

As mentioned earlier, the 2024 League of Legends Summer Event introduces numerous additions to the game, such as:

Swarm: The New Game Mode

One of the biggest introductions in the Summer Event is Swarm, or Operation: Anima Squad. Unlike other game modes, which are mostly PVP, Swarm is PVE, where players can queue up solo or play with three others together. Besides the fact that the game mode is PvE, it plays very differently from the standard League of Legends games as well, where players control their characters with WASD controls. 

Players must survive a showdown in Final City, defeating lots of Primordials, where each match can give rewards that make them stronger over time. So, if players lose a game, it will still be helpful thanks to those rewards and will help the user later down the line. The more rewards someone gets, the longer they can fight, which means more rewards per match.

How long will the Summer Event last in League of Legends?

The Summer Event of 2024 in League of Legends will start on July 17, 2024, and will be there until August 19, 2024.
