League of Legends [1] is a game that has stood the test of time for years now, and for good reasons. One of the biggest reasons League of Legends is still so relevant today is because of the limited-time modes and additions Riot Games continues to add.
Brawl is one of the newest modes in League of Legends. This limited-time mode combines ARAM with the traditional Summoner’s Rift modes to deliver something entirely new for players to enjoy. Naturally, there are different ways for players to get strong and carry their teams to victory.
So, if you want to start dominating in the Brawl mode in League of Legends, keep reading because we have you covered.
How do you win in LoL Brawl mode?
A team’s success in Brawl depends on which team can reduce the opponent side’s starting 250 health to zero. Teams can do this through two methods:
Elimination enemy champions
Escoring ally minions into the opponent’s portal
Killing an enemy deals five damage to the opposing team’s health while pushing a minion through the portal, or killing an enemy minion deals one damage. However, minion kills stop doing damage once the enemy team’s health drops below an unknown threshold, preventing endless farming for easy wins.
Brawl matches are fast-paced, lasting around 8-12 minutes with no traditional objectives like towers. Players must prioritize aggressive team fights to maximize champion takedowns without neglecting minion waves. Escorting a few minions to the portal can reduce the enemy’s health in close games. Coordination is essential, and teams must focus on grouping to secure kills and controlling minion waves near the portals.
How much damage do minions, champions, and monsters contribute?
Champion takedowns are the most impactful because they deal five damage per kill. Minions contribute in two ways. Killing an opponent minion or escorting an allied minion into the enemy portal each deals one damage. However, minion kills stop affecting the enemy’s health once they fall to “low enough” levels, forcing teams to rely on champion eliminations or portal pushes to finish games.
Monsters in the jungle, like the Blue Sentinel or Red Brambleback, don’t contribute to team health damage. Instead, defeating them provides gold and buffs, strengthening the team’s combat effectiveness.
What do side camps provide in LoL Brawl mode?
The jungle features big and small camps, each offering gold and buffs. Big camps like the Blue Sentinel and Red Brambleback spawn at 1:00 and reward 450 gold alongside their respective buffs. These are positioned on opposite sides of the map.
Small camps include Gromp and the wolves, each giving 300 gold. These respawn throughout the game and provide consistent income for players who prefer to farm. Honeyfruit plans spawn in mid-map areas, providing healing for both teams. Although camps don’t impact team health, their gold and buffs are essential for building items.

How to get the Yordle magic buff in LoL Brawl mode?
The Yordle magic buff activates automatically for the losing team, where the point gap becomes big. This comeback mechanic grants champions 20-27% increased damage dealt and 20-27% reduced damage taken, helping the losers fight. The buff is there to prevent snowballing and keep matches competitive.
Also, all players benefit from the Bandlewood aura, a passive buff with universal advantages:
+100 Summoner Spell Haste for faster spell rotations.
Increased mana regeneration to sustain ability spam.
Empowered Recall (4-second channel) for quicker resets.
Passive gold and experience gain, plus shared gold from nearby minion/monster deaths.
These mechanics ensure matches remain dynamic, even if one team gains an early lead.
League of Legends Brawl mode key map features and mechanics
Bandle City, brawl’s map, is small and wide, enabling multiple skirmishes. Each team has a portal at their base where players need to push minions into the enemy’s portal is key for dealing damage. The map’s design emphasizes respawns and combat, with no towers or inhibitors to slow the action.
Players get a trinket titled scouting ahead, which reveals a small area for 5 seconds. They use this to get vision around objectives and bushes to avoid ambushes. The map’s simplicity allows beginners to focus on fighting instead of macros.
Loadout and starting items for LoL Brawl mode
Brawl has a simpler loadout system. Players select one champion without bans or random picks and choose from a smaller list of summoner spells.
Here are the summoner spells that players can equip:
Cleanse
Flash
Ghost
Heal
Ignite
Barrier
Starting items include the guardian’s hammer, guardian’s horn, or guardian’s orb, which provide early-game stats for sustainability or damage.
Gold earned from kills, minions, and camps can be spent during respawn timers or at the base. The passive gold gain from buffs ensures that teams who fall behind can stay relevant.
FAQs
How long is Brawl available, and will it return?
Brawl is available from May 14, 2025, until June 25, 2025 (patch 25.13). While it's a limited-time mode, Riot Games has a history of rotating popular game modes based on player feedback. If Brawl proves popular, there's a possibility it could return in future events.
