Does Rocket League have crossplay?

Let’s first find out if Rocket League even has crossplay. The short answer is yes. Rocket League does have crossplay between every platform the game is available in, so players in PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch will be able to play with each other.

The game supported crossplay since its launch, but the feature was limited to PC and PS4 until the Friends Update in 2019 fully expanded it. The Friends Update allowed people between every platform to play in a single lobby by introducing RocketID and a new friends list.

How to add friends from different platforms in Rocket League?

The process of adding people from different platforms is simple. 
After opening the game, there’s a friends bar on the bottom right corner of the screen. Open the friends bar to see the RocketID of the player right under their platform name. A RocketID is the player’s username and four randomly generated numbers. Copy that RocketID anywhere and share it with a friend.

Once the friend has the player’s RocketID, they must go to the friends list and select the Add Friends option. If the friend writes the player's name correctly, they will receive a friend request in the Alerts tab. Go to that tab and accept it to become friends in Rocket League.

To invite them to the party, select their name in the friends list window and choose the invite option. If they’re playing from a different platform, they will have a logo saying “PSY Net” as their profile picture instead of their regular profile picture.
