What is FACEIT?
FACEIT is a third-party matchmaking system in Counter-Strike 2, which has a separate ranking system, rules, and anti-cheats. Some CS2 players play on FACEIT servers because they believe it has better matchmaking than Valve’s official servers and has a better anti-cheat system, which is true considering how many hackers are rampant in higher ranks of the official matchmaking servers. Another big factor that pulls players into FACEIT is that those servers are 128 tick, as opposed to the inconsistent subtick system used in the official servers.

What problems are players facing in FACEIT servers after the latest Counter-Strike 2 update?
The latest Counter-Strike 2 patch has caused issues for multiple players, especially those who use third-party matchmaking systems like FACEIT or ESEA. Although this small patch addresses small bugs and improvements, it has created a critical issue where the keyboard for many users will stop working.
This is a huge issue for the competitive community, as they face problems in the one place they can play the game without minor inconveniences. Multiple people have reported that their keyboards have stopped working mid-match on platforms like FACEIT.
When this happens, they try to find the fix as quickly as possible to get them back into the match, such as unplugging and replugging the peripheral, restarting the game, restarting their system, or getting a different keyboard altogether. Alongside losing the round or match, it can also lead to players getting kicked from the game for being AFK.
Valve has acknowledged the problem and has also given players a temporary solution to the problem, but considering how big of a problem it is, they will probably fix the issues that got introduced with the current patch soon since they’ve been known to be very active in the community and constantly look at player feedback.
How to fix the Keyboard problem on FACEIT servers?
Add launch parameters
Currently, one of the only ways to fix the keyboard disconnection problem while playing on FACEIT servers in Counter-Strike 2 is to change the title's launch options. To fix the keyboard disconnection glitch, players must set up the launch parameter “ +cl_input_enable_raw_keyboard 1”, forcing the game to take inputs from the keyboard directly instead of going through the operating system.
These are the steps that will troubleshoot the issue:
Open Steam
Go to Library
Find Counter-Strike 2
Right-click on CS2 from the list of games on the left
Select Properties
In the general tab, find the text box at the bottom
Type in “+cl_input_enable_raw_keyboard 1” in there but without the quotes
Close the tab
Following these steps should prevent the keyboard from disconnecting while playing on FACEIT servers.
Restart the anti-cheat
Players have found another temporary solution if the above method does not work. The second solution is to quit the FACEIT anti-cheat and restart the game.
Until Valve fixes this issue with a patch, these are the only ways to combat keyboard disconnections in Counter-Strike 2.
