How to Get Free Skins on Your Singapore LoL Account

Riot has a reputation for being rather money hungry, especially when it comes to their golden MOBA child. After all, what company isn't nowadays? However, every now and then they do something that's uncharacteristically generous and wholesome.

Such is the case with what they've done for the players who had been waiting for a Singaporean server to launch for so long. Because of an ongoing event, players from that server can get a bunch of skins completely free of cost.

What is The Welcome Event

Singaporean players had been treated rather poorly while the servers were under the banner of Garena. We're talking about increased prices for skins in comparison to other servers, a completely broken gacha system, and customer service that was so bad, no customer service would be better.

Well, the Singaporean servers, in addition to multiple other servers, are now under Riot's wing, and to celebrate that, Riot launched this welcome event. By participating in it, players can get many champions, skins, and more.

The best thing? The event missions are mostly made up of completely simple objectives that you can most likely complete relatively quickly. Because of this, even if you don't have too much time during the duration of the event, you can still complete enough missions to get some in game goodies.

How You Can Take Advantage of it

Now, you might be wondering what the Singaporean server exclusive event can do for players on other servers. Well, it's possible for players of any server to transfer their accounts to another server.

We're sure you get where we're going with this. Simply transfer your account to the Singaporean (or SEW) servers, participate in the event to get as many skins and other in game items as possible, and then if you want just transfer back.

Many of you might now be wondering what about the transfer fees that usually apply when transferring an account to a different server. Well, for a limited time, the transfer fee to new servers (like the Singaporean one) is, well, a single blue essence.

Yes, you'll still have to pay the full transfer fee if you want to transfer your account back to your original server region, but if you're able to take full advantage of the event to get even half of the skins and champions available to obtain, you would get much more than your money's worth.

How it Works

One thing to keep in mind is that it isn't like you can complete objectives to get skins or characters directly. Instead, by completing mission objectives, you'll get one of two types of tokens.

These tokens can then be used in the token store to purchase some in game goodies. The two tokens are called welcome tokens and treasure tokens. 

Not only will players be able to redeem tokens for ward skins, champion skins, icons, emotes, and orange essence, but they will also be able to unlock all champions from 2009 to 2021 for free via in-game missions. What this means is that there are over 100 heroes up for grabs completely free of cost.

To be specific, the event will begin on the 13th of January, and run for around a month, meaning there should be more than enough time for you to make some more than decent progress.
