Before anything, it’s crucial to know what safe pockets even are in Arc Raiders. Those who have played the game before will likely already know that storing your loot in your backpack is the usual way to go. However, getting taken down by a fellow raider or even some random machinery could lead to you losing a bunch of your loot and returning to your home base with empty pockets.
Safe pockets are a smart workaround for this issue, since anything stored in this safe compartment in your backpack is protected from being taken by others. While both involve spending coins, the process for Safe Pockets is a little different. Instead of using the inventory menu, you will need to visit a specific trader and buy a special item.
To upgrade your Safe Pocket space, head to Speranza and look for a trader named Lance, who operates at the clinic. He sells a variety of Augments, but the one you need is called Looting Mk. 2. This upgrade increases both your backpack capacity and your Safe Pocket space. It is not always available, so make sure to check his inventory regularly.
Before you can purchase the Looting Mk. 2 Augment, there are two requirements you need to meet. First, your Raider must be at least Level 7. Second, you will need 6,000 Coins to afford it. If you do not meet these requirements yet, focus on leveling up by completing missions and raids. The more you progress, the more items become available to buy from traders like Lance.
Keep in mind that the Looting Mk. 2 Augment is a rare item. Lance only sells it occasionally, and usually only one at a time. If you find it in stock, grab it quickly. Once you have it equipped, you will gain an extra Safe Pocket slot for a total of two slots, along with more backpack space for carrying loot.
How to craft augments at the gear bench in Arc Raiders?
