League of Legends S14: All New Items and Item Changes

League of Legends, is undergoing a significant overhaul in its itemization system. With the release of the latest patch, players can expect a plethora of new items, tweaks, and adjustments aimed at enhancing gameplay dynamics and strategic diversity.

Players can expect a shake-up in the meta from revamped boots like Symbiotic Souls to overhauled AD items such as Bloodthirster. Not to mention the brand new items like Yum Tal Wind Arrows and Blackfire Torch. These changes aim to diversify gameplay and inject fresh excitement into item builds, promising an engaging experience for all kinds of champion mains.

Let's delve into the major changes and additions to items in this latest update. Since there are a lot of item changes we’ll only describe them briefly.

New Boots and Item Additions

Symbiotic Souls

Replacing the Mobility Boots, Symbiotic Souls offers a unique twist to movement speed items. Provides 35 move speed and upgrades your recall, ensuring a swift return to base akin to a Baron recall. After covering 150,000 units of distance, grants a substantial 45 bonus move speed out of combat.

Zephyr

Resurrected as a boots upgrade available after reaching level 15. Offers 40% attack speed, 65 move speed, and reduces slows by 20%.

Fated Ashes

Crafted from the Amplifying Tome. Inflicts bonus damage over time to enemies hit by abilities, with increased effectiveness against monsters.

Upgrades into Blackfire Torch.

Blackfire Torch

Applies ability-based burn damage and boosts AP for each enemy affected by the burn.

Scout's Slingshot

Forged from a Dagger, providing 20% attack speed and bonus damage on champion hits with a cooldown that diminishes with auto-attacks.

Yum TaI's Wind Arrows

A fresh addition with AD, crit, and bonus damage over time for critical strikes.

Overlord's Bloodmail

Enhanced bonuses including AD scaling with bonus health.

AD Item Changes

Many of the AD items are being changed, with a major shift to crit stats. Moving forward all crit items will give a 25% crit chance instead of 20%. This means champions can have a maxed crit chance from just 4 items.

Bloodthirster

Receives a new recipe and no longer offers bonus AD or crit chance. Now focuses on base AD and resurrects its old passive shield mechanic.

Collector

Stat adjustments for increased effectiveness.

Essence Reaver

Restructured as a non-Spellblade item, no longer built from Sheen. Basic attacks refund mana on-hit.

Immortal Shield Bow

Life steal component removed.

Infinity Edge

Receives buffs at a higher cost.

Kraken Slayer

No longer grants crit chance, but offers movement speed and improved stats.

Lord Dominik's Regards

Undergoes significant alterations.

Mercurial Scimitar

Revised recipe and life steal component added.

Navori Quickblades

Renamed to Navori Flickerblade with a revamped recipe and stats, emphasizing attack speed and movement speed.

Phantom Dancer

No longer grants AD but doubles down on attack speed.

Rapid Firecannon

AD removed, but stats boosted.

Runaan's Hurricane

Built from Scout's Slingshot and loses on-hit magic damage.

Statikk Shiv

Receives extensive changes with a new recipe and functionality.

Stormrazor

Removed from the game entirely.

Blade of the Ruined King

Buffed across all stats.

Terminus

Subject to minor adjustments.

Tank and Support Item Changes

Several other tank and support items undergo tweaks and modifications, including Knight's Vow, Randuin's Omen, Winter's Approach, Zeke's Convergence, and Downcore, to name a few.

• Anathema's Chains: Removed from the game.
• Knight's Vow: Built differently and now provides health regeneration.
• Randuin's Omen: Slows more but offers fewer stats.
• Winter's Approach: Base health stat and health gained from mana conversion increased.
• Zeke's Convergence: No longer provides mana but grants magic resist.
• Downcore: Underwent significant changes with a new recipe, offering increased AP, heal and shield power, base mana regen, and additional ability power per 100% base mana regen.
