League of Legends: New Middle East Server - Everything You Need to Know

After years of anticipation, League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics are finally getting a dedicated server in the Middle East. This is a monumental step for the gaming community in the region, promising lower latency and a more immersive gaming experience. 

The new Middle East (ME) server is live from June 25, 2024, at 8:30pm PT / June 26 at 6am EEST. Players from the Gulf, Levant, and Pakistan will experience significantly improved ping. Transfers to the ME server are initially one-way, costing 1 Blue Essence until September 3, 2024. Special welcome events and unlocked champions await players on the new server.

Should You Transfer to the ME Server?

Players from the following regions will see the biggest improvements in ping by transferring to the ME server:

• Qatar
• Bahrain
• Saudi Arabia
• Oman
• Kuwait
• Jordan
• Lebanon
• Egypt
• Iraq
• Palestine
• Iran
• Pakistan

If you live in these areas or see an in-client popup when logging into League of Legends, transferring to the ME server is likely beneficial.

North Africa Players Should Stick to EU Servers

For players in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, or Libya, the best ping remains on EU servers, so there’s no need to transfer.

Initial One-Way Transfers

To stabilize the new community, transfers to the ME server are initially one-way. Transfers out of the ME server will be available around September 3, 2024, at 11am PT / 9pm EEST, though this date may change depending on server conditions.

How to Transfer to the ME Server

Here’s what you need to know about transferring to the ME server:

Who Can Transfer?

Transfers are available to accounts on the following servers: EUN1, EUW1, JP1, LA1, LA2, NA1, OC1, PH2, RU, SG2, TH2, and TR1. Accounts on servers in Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Brazil cannot transfer. Players in these regions must create a new ME account if they wish to join.

Transfer Costs

Qualified accounts can transfer to the ME server for 1 Blue Essence from the server opening until September 3, 2024, at 11am PT / 9pm EEST. After this period, the cost will increase to 2600 RP for a one-way transfer, in or out of the server.

What Transfers?

Most of your account content will transfer, including your collection, skins, currencies, friend list, Mission/Event Pass progress, and more. However, some things like honor level and Clash regalia won't transfer. Key transfers for League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics include:

League of Legends:

• Rank and LP (capped at Master)
• Full apex tier decay bank (maxed out regardless of banked decay games before transfer)

Teamfight Tactics:

• Rank and LP (capped at Master)
• Full apex tier decay bank (maxed out regardless of banked decay games before transfer)

All Champions Unlocked

All champions will be unlocked for all players on the ME Server from the moment it goes live until September 3, 2024, at 11:00am PT / 9:00pm EEST. After this period, your roster will revert to owned champions plus the free rotation.
