The competitive scene for any game is extremely dynamic. While teams can climb the ranks quickly, they can drop down just as fast to lose a majority of their fans. The same happened to LOUD, which was once praised as one of the strongest game but is now considered a low or mid tier team.
The Valorant [1] competitive team is hoping to change this with the appointment of a new head coach, Leadr. With his experience and skills, the team and its fans hope LOUD can turn things around and make the right use of its potential to become one of the strongest Valorant teams again.
Here’s what to know about Leadr and whether he can revive LOUD’s Valorant team.
LOUD appoints Leadr as the new Valorant head coach
Brazilian esports organization LOUD has signed Kaan “Leadr” TaÅŸpınar as their new Valorant head coach. The 24-year-old Turkish coach joins LOUD after a one-year tenure as the head coach for G2 Esports’ female team, G2 Gozen.
Leadr achieved significant success during his time coaching G2 Gozen, securing back-to-back VCT 2024 game changers EMEA stage wins. He also led the team to a third-place finish at the VCT 2024 Game Changers Championship, where they were eliminated by MIBR in a 0-3 loss.

Can Leadr revive LOUD’s Valorant fortunes?
LOUD entered the Valorant competitive scene as a dominant force, setting themselves as one of the best teams in the Americas and globally. Their achievements include a second-place finish at Valorant masters Reykjavík 2022 and winning the prestigious Valorant Champions 2022 title. While 2023 saw them become the Americas champions and secure second place at VCT lock in São Paulo alongside third at Valorant champions, 2024 was a decline for them.
The team began the year with a fourth-place finish at Valorant masters Madrid, but then suffered visa issues that hindered their preparation. Consequently, LOUD has struggled, becoming a mid-low table team unable to match the pace set by rivals like Sentinels, G2 Esports, Leviatán, and MIBR. With the Brazilian community demanding a return to glory and LOUD recently parting ways with players Dougla “dgzin” Silva and Arthur “tuyz” Vieira, leaving only three players, Leadr is under immense pressure to rebuild and restore the team’s former Valorant standing.
