m0NESY leaves G2 and joins Team Falcons

Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov has completed his long-rumored move from G2 Esports to Team Falcons, officially joining the Saudi-backed roster ahead of the BLAST.tv Austin Major. m0NESY will take over as Falcons’ primary AWPER, replacing Abdulkhalik “degster” Gasanov, who was benched before the transfer. degster led Falcons to victory at PGL Bucharest 2025 a day before the move, defeating G2 in the finals and earning MVP honors in his last tournament.

Record breaking deal

Although financial details weren’t disclosed, reports suggest the transfer was a “multi-million dollar deal,” making it one of the largest in CS2 history. m0NESY had eight months left on his G2 contract, but Falcons expedited the move, using their Saudi-backed resources to secure the player.
