Team Falcons secured their first-ever Counter-Strike trophy with a 3-0 sweep over G2 Esports in the PGL Bucharest 2025 Grand Final. The team delivered a flawless performance, outplaying G2 in almost every way. The one-sided affair saw Falcons dominate on Mirage, Nuke, and Ancient.

The series began on Mirage, G2’s map pick, but Falcons took control with a score of 7-0 in the first half. Despite a small response from G2, Falcon closed the match 13-5, with degster leadings with a 1.79 Impact Rating. On Nuke, the Falcons’ incredible defensive gameplay gave them a 13-7 victory, with a highlight being TeSeS’s 17 kills. Ancient secured the Falcons’ championship title by overwhelming G2, ending the Bo3 13-8.

Bittersweet victory for degster and TeSeS

Even though degster and TeSeS had standout performances in the series, they’re set to be replaced by mONESY and kyousuke as Falcons aim for greater heights. Their efforts in Bucharest, however, secured their place in the organization’s history. The duo’s dominance over G2 is a fitting farewell, proving their value to other interested parties.

The playoffs ran from April 11 to 13, featuring a single elimination bracket. Every match was a best-of-three(Bo3), except for the Grand Final, which was Bo5.

Team Falcons received $200,000 for securing first place, while G2 Esports earned $93,750 for second. FaZe Clan took home $75,000 for third place, and Complexity received $43,750 for finishing fourth.
