Riot Games continues to introduce new features that make the game better for players. One of the newest features is one that’s exclusive to console players, at least for now. The toggle ability feature is Riot’s response to the player’s who were complaining about there not being enough personalization settings.
Today, we’re here to go through everything you need to know about the new ability toggle feature on Valorant console. This includes what the feature does and how players can activate this ability in Valorant console. We’ll also go through some other additions that came to the game with the update.
Without any more delay, here’s everything you need to know about Valorant console’s ability toggle feature.
What does Valorant console’s ability toggle do?
Valorant Patch 9.02 adds various content to the console version of the game. While one of the main additions to the title is the classic map Icebox to every game mode, the other less-known feature is the function of the toggling abilities of a few agents.
During the limited beta of the console variant of Valorant, players had trouble using abilities for some agents. These abilities forced players to hold a button to use them, making it uncomfortable to move while using them. To fix this issue, Riot Games added a new feature in an update that allows players to toggle abilities instead of holding them. Abilities that forced users to hold down a button to activate it can now be used with a few presses instead.
Here’s a list of every ability that players can toggle in Valorant console:
Harbor - High Tide
Phoenix - Fire Wall
Skye - Guiding Light
How can players activate toggle ability in Valorant console?
Enabling the toggle ability in Valorant console is straightforward. To enable toggling, players must navigate to the Agent Profile Settings for Phoenix, Skye, or Harbor. There, they need to set the option for the abilities mentioned above to Toggle.

What else is in the new update?
Some time ago, Riot shared a video on their official social media platforms about maintaining a healthy community, where they discussed the severe penalties that players who engage in toxic behavior will face. Patch 9.02 finally introduces these harsh penalties in the game.
The desktop version of Valorant receives a new Basic Training and The Range from the console version of the game. While this won’t affect existing players, new players must play and finish the new tutorial. Existing players can try the brand-new tutorial and range in the practice arena.
