Why Eloking Was a Standout Winner of the Ecommerce Star Award 2022

As we reflect on the successes of the past year, we are thrilled to highlight that our company, Eloking, was recognized as the 2nd place winner in the service providers category of the 2022 e-commerce star awards in Latvia (in Latvian - E-komercijas zvaigzne). The e-commerce star awards are the most prestigious e-commerce awards in Latvia, with 11 categories in total. The award ceremony took place on June 1st, 2022, and we are proud to have been a part of such a competitive field.

Despite only starting our business in January of this year, we were able to secure a 2nd place win, with the first place being awarded to the biggest pizza chain in Latvia, LULU pizza, and third place going to GO3, a major telecommunication company in Europe often referred to as the 'Netflix of Latvia'. We are truly honored to have received this recognition and be recognized alongside such successful companies. As we look back on the past year, this award is a highlight for us and a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team.

The team behind the success

The success of our company would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our team. The team behind this achievement includes two core members of the company, Jack King, and Anthony King, as well as a number of creative freelancers who contributed their skills and expertise.

Jack King is a well-known designer who has previously won the Cannes design award, and he played a key role in the design and branding of our company. Anthony King is an entrepreneur with a track record of success in the e-commerce industry, and he led the strategic direction of our business. Among the creative freelancers who contributed to our success, we would like to particularly highlight Rez, a 3D artist and animator who created marketing videos and images, and Rudolfs, who helped with internal documents and designs. These talented individuals helped us stand out in a competitive field and ultimately earn this prestigious award.

What were the key ingredients for the success?

When it comes to the key ingredients for our success in winning, there were several key factors that set us apart from the competition.

First and foremost, we focused on quality rather than quantity when it came to the features of our website and services. We believe that providing a small number of high-quality features is more valuable to our target audience than offering a large number of mediocre ones.

Another key factor in our success was the custom-made high-quality photos that we featured on our website. To create these photos, we took open-source 3D renders and modified them to look more professional, sometimes even building skeletons for them. We then created scenes, posed the models, and took high-quality pictures of them, which we then brushed up in Photoshop and added to our website.

In addition, we built a very detailed design system for our website that ensured consistency and made it easy for our target audience to navigate. We studied our target audience, gamers, and made the system very intuitive and focused on reducing the necessary steps to complete certain actions. These efforts helped us stand out and appeal to our target market, leading to our success in the e-commerce star awards.

What are the next steps to improve the platform?

In the short term, we have a number of exciting new features in the pipeline, including a discount codes feature and a loyalty program. These additions will help us better serve our customers and reward their loyalty. In addition, we have other ideas in the works that we don't want to spoil just yet, as some of them are truly unique and don't exist in the market yet.

One recent addition to our platform that is a good example of this kind of innovation is our "hire a teammate" service. With this service, you can hire one or multiple boosters just to play with you, without any pre-agreed focus on win rates or other metrics. This is something that is truly unique in the boosting market and has been very well received by our customers. We are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to serve our customers, and we are excited to see what the future holds for our platform.
