Valorant [1] has a bustling community, which is important for a live service hero shooter like Riot’s FPS game. While one of the best ways to keep players engaged is by releasing new playable characters, the game’s competitive nature ensures it’s crucial to keep every agent’s abilities properly balanced.
Valorant 10.09’s patch notes revealed that Tejo, an agent who has been dominating the meta since he came out, will finally be getting a long-awaited nerf. He isn't alone, as Breach will also be getting slightly nerfed, alongside some minor quality of life fixes and changes.
So, without further ado, here’s everything you can expect when you download and install Valorant patch 10.09.
Which agents are getting nerfed in Valorant patch 10.09?
Tejo receives multiplied changes to reduce dominance while keeping his space-clearing kit intact. Guided salvo now grants players a free charge per round but has no cooldowns anymore, changing it to a “pay-per-rocket” system, which costs 150 credits per charge. The map targeting range is reduced from 55m to 45m to minimize cross-map plays. His economy has been rebalanced. A stealth drone costs 400 credits, while special delivery drops to 200. His ultimate now requires nine ultimate points to be available.
Breach’s fault line stun detonation delay increases from 1s to 1.2s, giving enemies more time to react. Swiftplay mode scales starting ultimate for Breach, Killjoy, and Viper, raising them from 2 to 3.
